I first caught the travel bug following my trip as a young teenager to the Philippines. It made me reevaluate everything I learnt about happiness and was probably the turning point where I realised money was never going to be a driving point for me in life.
Travel brings you knowledge, understanding, empathy, joy. It kills stereotypes, opens your mind, introduces you to new food, new ways of life, new culture.
It can make you appreciate what you have and break your heart at the same time. It keeps you humble and grounded, broadens your mind and educates (if you allow it).
Travel can make you uncomfortable, it can make you question the world and can put you out of your comfort zone, but then again all the best adventures do!
